Springvale: Vehicle trapped between train platforms

By Benjamin Millar/The Age

A SPRINGVALE South man has been arrested after driving crashing a car between platforms at Springvale station.

Police say the 31-year-old drove the red Toyota sedan off Springvale Road and onto the tracks about 10pm on Saturday, driving almost 100 metres before hitting a wall.

The man was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital for examination.

The train line was closed and traffic disrupted as the car was cleared away. Investigations into the incident are continuing.

Check out the video of the car being removed from the tracks.
