Fire strikes

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two fires on 9 May.
A Springvale divisional van was patrolling Flinders Street, Noble Park, about 4.30pm on 9 May when officers spotted a grass fire in a reserve.
They tried to extinguish the blaze but had to call in CFA crews.
They then found a second fire about 100 metres west of the first scene.
Both burnt about five square metres.
About 11.45pm the same day, a stolen Ford sedan was found alight in Riverend Road, Bangholme.
It had been taken from Lorraine Street, Frankston North, earlier in the evening.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
