Spirited away in home raid

A $19,000 white gold ring with a one-caret solitaire diamond and $3000 bottles of liquor were among a $80,000 haul of luxury items stolen in a raid on a Keysborough home.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Simon Ellis said it appeared thieves broke a window to enter the Mariott Drive property between 7pm on 18 January and 3.20am the following day.
The home owners were out at the time and returned to find the place ransacked. The ring was the most expensive item stolen.
Among other items stolen were 27 bottles of cognac and 21 bottles of scotch, some valued at $3000.
Louis Vuitton sunglasses and handbags, handbags by Burberry and Chanel, a projector, amplifiers and speakers were also among the haul.
Sen Const Ellis said it was an unusually large burglary and it appeared the thieves had loaded a vehicle parked in the driveway with goods.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information about the heist.
