Car set alight

By CASEY NEILL

VANDALS have set a car alight in Simpson Street, Noble Park.
Police said the Holden Commodore sedan, which was being dismantled for parts, was parked in a carport when it was torched about 1am on 8 May.
Another resident from the unit complex extinguished the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle and minor smoke damage to the carport.
The owner was not home at the time of the fire and notified police of the incident the next day.
Detectives attended, processed scene and deemed the fire’s cause suspicious.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
