Workshops weave the way

TWINING and coiling were the past-times of choice at Dandenong’s Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens last week.
Artist Adrienne Kneebone demonstrated weaving techniques at the Indigenous Weaving Workshop last Tuesday, 5 August.
Participants learned about local plant harvesting and how fibres are prepared, and walked away with baskets they’d made themselves.
The event was part of City of Greater Dandenong’s textiles celebration Cultural Threads, which runs until 31 August.
