New manufacturer rolls in

TYRE manufacturer Kumho has moved into Dandenong South.
The $10 million state of the art distribution centre in Carter Way is the company’s largest Australian facility, with a 10,000 square metre floor space and a capacity of more than 130,000 tyres.
Victorian manager Leigh McDonald said the site would enable the company to better service customers across the state.
“Kumho is continually looking at ways to strengthen its supply chain around the world and our new distribution centre is ideally positioned near major transport links to speed deliveries and increase efficiency,” he said.
Kumho Tyres was established in 1960 and today is among the top 10 tyre companies in the world. In Australia, it markets tyres for cars, four-wheel drives, light commercials, trucks and buses.
