Nissan drives out of town

Nissan is moving its state headquarters out of Dandenong South.
Commercial real estate agent CBRE confirmed it was marketing the 11.42 hectare site on Frankston-Dandenong Road that is home to Nissan’s corporate office and warehousing.
CBRE’s Stephen Adgemis said the area was starved of serviced development sites “as well as owner occupier options over five hectares”.
“With only 28 per cent of the site utilised in its current form, there is a huge opportunity to further capitalise on its position through value-add or expansion possibilities,” he said.
The property is being offered for sale via a public expressions of interest campaign that will close on Thursday 1 June.
The Journal contact Nissan for comment but did not receive a response.
Other media outlets have reported that Nissan had outgrown the site and was looking to relocate elsewhere in the south-east.
