1. The Hemmings Street shopping centre in Dandenong North is home to Amalia Europe Cheese. It serves up cheese from around the globe and smallgoods, plus American-style hot dogs and bagels, coffee and ice cream.
2. Monica’s Cakes has been a Springvale South fixture for 25 years, hidden away on Hosken Street. Argentinian-born chef Jose Bevacqua churns out hundreds of South American pastries every day. Profiteroles and croissants are his specialties.
3. Little Bad Wolf is in Noble Park’s Railway Parade. Kebabs, grill plates and cevapi are the menu’s cornerstones. There’s also a Wolf Pack – a take on the ubiquitous HSP.
