Buzz over uncut grass

RESIDENTS of Willow Lodge Caravan Park in Bangholme had been plagued by flies because park owners had not cut long grass, the City of Greater Dandenong claimed this week.
A petition from 47 Willow Lodge residents went to council on 25 October complaining about “flies in plague proportion” on a covering letter.
Officers investigating the matter reported that the source was likely to be long grass found on the property.
A nearby poultry farm was ruled out due to an additive the farm had introduced to prevent flies being attracted to chook manure.
