Dog dies from stab wounds

A family dog has died after being found with stab wounds in its backyard in Dandenong.

‘Vuk’, an 11-year-old Maltese-Jack Russell cross, was found seriously injured in the Fifth Avenue backyard about 7.15am on 2 October.

The owners were set to drive Vuk to a vet but discovered their car’s tyre was slashed.

The dog arrived at a vet two hours later, and was put down due to his multiple injuries.
