A TOP 10 Australian law firm has officially opened in Dandenong.
Gadens Lawyers launched the new office at the Drum Theatre on Thursday night in the company of Greater Dandenong mayor Roz Blades, local members of parliament and 200 guests.
Gadens Lawyers chairman Patrick Walsh said the office opened in March and the company was looking forward to becoming an integral part of Dandenong.
“Gadens Dandenong is open for business and off and racing,” Mr Walsh said.
“We intend to grow and turn the legal market on its head in the region.”
He said the Melbourne-based firm started looking at moving outside the CBD one year ago and Dandenong quickly became the focus because of the need for greater competition, business activity and the revitalisation project.
Cr Blades said the law firm’s presence in Dandenong would be good for the community.
“We are esteemed to have top 10 law firm set up in Dandenong,” Cr Blades said.
“The opening of Gadens Lawyers new office is another good news story for Dandenong.”
The Dandenong office received special congratulations from Attorney General Robert Clark who said the new location was an ‘important step in the history of the firm’.
