Wet and welcome

More than 13,000 people have gone for a dip at the Noble Park Heated Swim Centre this summer, with many more expected as the hot weather increases. Cooling off has been a priority for many pool-goers, who this week faced several days of more than 30 degrees. Among those who considered the pool a cool place to be were Noble Park residents Jayde Lynch (left) and her daughter Nikki Lynch. The outdoor pool is heated to 27 degrees, enough to cool off and be comfortable, according to centre manager Claire McGarrigle. Ms McGarrigle said since opening in October, the centre had counted about 13,000 visitors. December alone saw 8000 people use the pool, and so far the first two weeks of the new year have accommodated more than 1500 people.More than 13,000 people have gone for a dip at the Noble Park Heated Swim Centre this summer, with many more expected as the hot weather increases.
