A BUSINESS week jam-packed with 26 seminars, exhibits and keynote speaker events will take place in Greater Dandenong between 4 and 8 September.
The Mini Business Week is the brainchild of the Greater Dandenong council’s Business Development Centre and will cover all facets of business in all parts of Greater Dandenong.
Events on the business week calendar include a grant writing workshop on 7 September at the Drum Theatre, and basic business skills such as book keeping for small and home-based businesses on Tuesday, 5 September.
A Little India Cultural Walking Tour on 7 September will explore central Dandenong’s Indian cultural shops.
The Federal Government’s new industrial relations laws, WorkChoices, will be broken down and presented at a WorkChoices HR discussion group hosted by MacPherson and Kelley Lawyers on Thursday, 7 and Friday, 8 September.
And for residents or students curious to learn more about the city’s business community, a bus tour will help kick off the week’s events on Monday, 4 September. A restaurant trade seminar for restaurateurs will be held on Tuesday, 5 September, and Victoria Police will host a seminar on retail theft that traders across the city are being encouraged to attend.
