CHISHOLM Institute in Dandenong has picked up $111,060 in State Government funding to improve facilities for its hospitality students.
The funding is part of a $1 million new equipment grant allocation for Chisholm Institute of TAFE.
The institute will use the grant to pay for stoves, refrigerators and other kitchen equipment.
Education minister Lynne Kosky said the funding would provide students with the latest and best equipment available.
“Providing extra funding to upgrade teaching equipment will provide a shot in the arm to both local students and teachers,” she said.
“This is good news for local workers and employers who will directly benefit from this investment in skills training.”
