“Creative Brands is a perfect example of a business that has taken a proactive approach to looking after the environment.
“While staff had no hesitations in getting their hands dirty on Clean Up Business Day, they have already made considerable inroads in reducing waste on their site by supporting council’s Local Industry Efficiency Program (LIEP),” Cr Kelly said.
LIEP aims to assist small to medium local manufacturing businesses improve resource efficiency by reducing waste, energy and water use.
Creative Brands is the owner of Australia’s leading cosmetic brand Australis and Le Tan sunscreens and fast tans.
Creative Brands managing director Stephen Mason said staff were enthusiastic about making a statement on the environment.
“We want to set an example that we are an environmentally friendly premises,” Mr Mason said.
“We are always looking at ways of improving and we are planning a tree planting campaign to add some greenery to our premises.

“It demonstrates to staff that the company is serious about sustainability and encourages them to come up with their own initiatives.”
