Thieves’ swift helicopter getaway

MORE than $34,000 worth of racing car simulators, TVs and remote control helicopters was stolen from two Dandenong South factories last month.
Offenders broke into the first factory on Swift Way about 11am on Monday 6 April, stealing $30,000 worth of racing car simulator seats and large televisions.
Five days later another Swift Way factory – which supplied items for a hobby shop – was broken into about 5am on Saturday 11 April and the thieves made off with $4000 worth of remote control cars, helicopters and boats.
A model buggy was also stolen from the second factory.
Police investigating the burglaries believe they could be connected and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
