Shopping centre spree netts bandits $50,000 in goods

KEYSBOROUGH’S Parkmore and the Springvale arcade were hit in a $50,000 robbery spree.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Marissa Owens said thieves smashed and jemmied their way into the shopping centres in the early hours of Friday 4 March.
They stole mobile phones, jewellery and iPads from six stores, hitting Parkmore about 1.55am and Springvale about 2.45am.
Det Sen Const Owens said officers were reviewing CCTV and urged anyone with information on the thefts, particularly about cars near the centres at the time, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
