One netted, three at large

By CASEY NEILL

Police arrested a 31-year-old man and are searching for three others over a string of unrelated incidents on Heatherton Road in Springvale on Sunday 17 July.
They were called to a petrol station about 9.35pm to reports that someone had filled a stolen car with petrol and driven away without paying.
Police then received a call that a would-be burglar had been disturbed trying to break into an address a few doors down.
When the officers arrived at the address, they were told that someone had stolen a Jeep from a service station further along Heatherton Road.
They started patrolling for the Jeep before hearing it had been involved in a crash on Fairbank Avenue near Westall Road about 9.53pm and that four people had fled the scene.
Crews were quickly on scene and they arrested a 31-year-old in Balloora Road a short time later.
He was taken to hospital for treatment following the crash and police are still searching for the other three people involved.
