A man in his thirties is in Dandenong Hospital following a firearms incident in Stud Road, Dandenong.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the scene about 4.15pm on Wednesday 26 October.
She said the victim had lower body injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police closed the road between Clow Street and David Street, VicRoads reported.
A police spokeswoman said a crime scene had been established.
