Suspicious fire doused

A suspicious fire caused significant damage to a vacant house in Dandenong.
A driver passing the Wilma Avenue premises spotted the blaze about 1am on Sunday 19 March and called triple-zero.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said CFA crews attended and extinguished the fire and no one was inside at the time.
He said the fire was being treated as suspicious because there was no reason why it would have started naturally.
Det Sen Const Lavars said squatters had used the house in the past.
He urged anyone with information about the fire to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
