The Welcome Scroll rolled into Greater Dandenong as a message of support for refugees.
It landed at Dandenong Civic Centre on Thursday 2 November as part of a national tour.
The scroll contains the names of more than 110 local governments who have declared themselves a Refugee Welcome Zone.
Greater Dandenong has been a Refugee Welcome Zone since 2002.
Councillors welcomed the scroll with a special event and pledged the council’s continued support for refugee and asylum seeker communities.
