A sensitive Easter Bunny will hop into Dandenong Plaza for a special visit.
Following on from the shopping centre’s Sensitive Santa program, it will welcome the Easter icon for special sessions with special kids.
Children on the autism spectrum and with other special needs can interact with the bunny for 20 minutes in an intimate session at a quieter time of day.
Background music will be turned down low and the centre will cater for other environment changes on request.
The meeting space will be a picnic setting, complete with chocolate eggs.
Parents are invited to bring their own camera to capture their child’s visit.
They can call the information desk on 9767 2000 to book a session between 9am and 10am on Monday 2 April.
The Easter Bunny will also hop around the plaza to hand out chocolates on 28, 29 and 31 March and 1 April between 11am and 2pm.
