On the right track

Level crossing workers are literally paving the way for better travel in Noble Park.
They started work on the 17-kilometre shared use path that will run between the Yarraman and Caulfield railway stations on Friday 16 March.
Within Greater Dandenong, four kilometres of trail will link up the EastLink Trail and a short section of existing trail in Springvale.
It will be the first element of the new open space being built around newly-elevated sections of the Cranbourne-Pakenham line.
There’ll be a dog off-leash park in Noble Park and other recreation areas.
Suzy Berk from Chandler Road cafe Little Bad Wolf said the trail would “definitely mean easier access to our shop – one hundred per cent”.
“Removing the level crossings has already been phenomenal for locals, but when the trail opens we do expect to get more people walking or cycling in from other suburbs,” she said.
Works to demolish the old Noble Park Railway Station started on Tuesday 20 March.
A time capsule will be buried in the parkland near Heatherton Road, with locals encouraged to send ideas and suggestions of items that reflect life in Noble Park to contact@levelcrossings.vic.gov.au.
