Women splashed with acid

Two women have been hospitalised after having a substance, reportedly an acid, thrown on them in Endeavour Hills.

The victims, aged 29 and 44, had also been physically assaulted during the attack inside a Monteith Crescent residence about 11.45pm on Thursday 25 April, police say.

Their attackers are believed to be two women known to the victims. They fled on foot from the scene.

The victims were taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition with injuries to their upper and lower bodies, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.
