Page-turners relay a message

Doveton proved a popular stop as part of a national relay promoting early reading.

A small team of volunteers from the Paint the Town REaD movement greeted Doveton College students and others at Autumn Place community hub’s library on Monday 6 May.

The relay team provided book packs, as well as reading, singing and talking about books.

The relay is based on the Olympic Torch Relay, visiting communities from Western Australia to the continent’s eastern seaboard.

Along the way it is building a book, comprised of a page from each community visited on the relay.
