Landfill group formed

Former Casey councillor Paul Richardson is part of an eight-member Taylors Road Landfill Reference Group announced by the landfill’s operator SITA last week.

Mr Richardson, listed as ‘Casey Community Watchdog’ and who has been banned from Casey Council question time, was selected alongside the group’s chairman Ron Bowden.

Other members include RATWISE member Thelma Wakelam, Hampton Park Progress Association member Tony O’Hara and Lynbrook Residents Association member Jason Wood.

SITA state general manager Daniel Fyfe said there were up to 10 vacancies on the group, which will hold its first meeting at the landfill on Wednesday.
