Greater Dandenong candidates spend up

Cashed up

Some big spenders have been revealed in a round of the Greater Dandenong Weekly questionnaires for Greater Dandenong Council candidates.

Heading the field is incumbent and ALP member Youhorn Chea who expects to spend $15,000 from fund-raising and “my personal budget”.

ALP member and “self-funded” candidate Peter Brown, who did not disclose his suburb of residence, is spending about $10,000. Many candidates did not reveal their spending.

Online soapbox

Candidates are using personal websites to promote their wares. Some, such as ALP member Sean O’Reilly and independent Dalibor Saula, are also using their websites to court donations via PayPal.

Another candidate Friday Okuch is also asking for donations on his website. He may want to fix the cover page though, which reads “Vot [sic] 1 Friday Okuch”.

On the fringe

Casey voters in Hallam, Doveton and Endeavour Hills can find out about their Four Oaks Ward candidates at caseyweeklycranbourne.com.au.
