Police shut down out-of-control Noble Park party

By  ALI AHMAD

MORE than 20 police officers and three police dogs were called to an out-of-control party in Noble Park last Saturday.

Police took 45 minutes to disperse about 150 Sudanese party goers from a Corrigan Road home after several complaints of fights and loud music.

Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said police used capsicum spray to control several brawls.

Several people were arrested for drunkeness and others served with penalty notices for not moving away from the scene.

Detective Kirton said large parties amongst the Sudanese community were not uncommon in the area.

He urged people to register large parties with police beforehand so police could ensure ’’appropriate security was in place’’.
