Police break up party

More than 20 police officers and three police dogs were called to an out-of-control party in Noble Park on May 11. Police took 45 minutes to disperse about 150 party-goers from a Corrigan Road home after several complaints of fights and loud music. Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton of Greater Dandenong crime investigation unit said police used capsicum spray to control several brawls. Several people were arrested for drunkenness and others were served with penalty notices for not moving away from the scene. Detective Kirton urged people to register large parties with police beforehand so police could ensure “appropriate security” was in place.
