UNITED Energy has confirmed power has now returned for homes and businesses in Clayton and Springvale.
More than 1100 homes and businesses suffered a major power outage which started just before noon.
A Monash Medical Centre spokeswoman confirmed the hospital lost power for about 60 seconds before back-up generators kicked in.
The outage stretched from Clayton Road to Westall Road and mostly affects customers on the northern side of Haughton Road.
