Women’s washout

By JARROD POTTER

A RARE Saturday fixture for Dandenong Women’s Cricket Club didn’t get going as rain forced a cancellation.
Dandenong, sitting fourth on the Victorian Women’s Cricket Association (VWCA) ladder, was set to play last place Plenty Valley, but the match was abandoned as the morning rain set in to leave Greaves Reserve 4 unplayable.
The sides split the points in a disappointing day of washed-out cricket, with Dandenong set to make amends next Saturday at home as the Lions take on Box Hill from 11am.
