Lyndhurst burglars net $80,000 jewellery haul

Casey crime investigation unit detectives are investigating the theft of jewellery valued at about $80,000 from Lyndhurst last month.

The jewellery was stolen from a Marriot Boulevard property between 8am and 5.30pm on Friday, February 24.

Detectives believe burglars got into the house by forcing open an aluminium sliding window then stole the jewellery and cash. No one was at home at the time.

Police have released photos of the jewellery, which is described as being of traditional Indian design.
