Woman bitten in abduction and assault

By CASEY NEILL

A WOMAN received bite marks to her face during an abduction from a Springvale laundromat.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident at Athol and Springvale roads in Springvale South, about 6pm, on Saturday 22 August.
Detective Senior Constable Jamie Cummings said a man entered the laundromat, dragged the victim – aged in her twenties – to a waiting car outside and forced her inside.
She tried unsuccessfully to escape and her kidnapper drove her to a nearby park where she was further assaulted. She was later released from the car.
Det Sen Const Cummings said the victim had bite marks on her cheek and lips and red marks on her neck.
He said this was not a random attack and the parties were known to each other.
The offender is described as being of Asian descent and aged in his mid-thirties.
Det Sen Const Cummings urged any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
