Man sought after fleeing crash scene

A male offender is still on the loose in the Dandenong South area after crashing a stolen car on Eastlink and fleeing from police on foot.
The driver entered onto Eastlink at Greens Road, in Keysborough, about 7.30am on Monday 1 August, and lost control of the stolen 2004 Ford sedan trying to travel south on the freeway.
The car smashed into the centre wire barriers and spread debris into the north-bound traffic, damaging another vehicle.
The offender left the vehicle and fled the scene on foot towards the industrial area in Dandenong South carrying what appeared to be a crossbow.
Police called in the dog squad and located a compound bow on the Eastlink trail in the direction the driver fled.
Upon searching the abandoned vehicle, police found ammunition and about 32 grams of methamphetamine.
Anyone with any information or who may have seen anything suspicious is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make an anonymous report at www.crimestoppers.com.au
