A BMX-bandit robbed a disabled woman at knifepoint in broad daylight in Springvale.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives are appealing for public help following the Thursday 7 September incident.
They said the victim, aged in her thirties, had been shopping and was walking home along Heatherton Road just before 4.30pm.
A man approached her from behind, produced a knife and demanded her handbag and cash.
She handed over some money and the man fled the scene on a black BMX bike.
He was last seen heading west along Heatherton Road and then north on Hooker Avenue.
The victim, who requires a mobility aid, was not injured.
The thief was described as Asian in appearance and was wearing a black hooded jumper and tracksuit pants with white basketball boots.
