Springvale man dies in two-vehicle crash

A Springvale man has died after a two-vehicle crash involving a maxi-cab in Clayton on Saturday 20 July.

The 18-year-old wheelchair passenger was one of five occupants in the Toyota maxi-cab in the crash about 8.40pm.

Major Collison Investigation Unit detectives say a silver Holden Astra was turning into Wellington Road from Blackburn Road when it collided with the maxi-cab travelling south on Wellington Road.

The maxi-cab driver, a 31-year-old from Noble Park, was uninjured.

Three other passengers in the cab were taken to hospital with injuries, police say.

The Astra driver, a 25-year-old Noble Park man, did not suffer injuries.
