Cyclist’s body found in Dandenong Creek

THE body of a male cyclist was found in water along the Dandenong Creek Trail on Monday 18 January.
Police were called to the scene by a passer-by about 9.30am.
A section of the creek where the man’s body was located runs parallel with the bike path and the man’s safety helmet could be seen from the trail.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the man’s death, which are yet to be identified as suspicious.
Springvale and Dandenong police and search and rescue are at the site which has been taped off.
